About Me

First of all, welcome to my site. I am glad that you are here. This site has been around since the summer of 2003 when I taught a middle school class how to do basic web design. I bought the domain then, and have stuck with it off and on ever since. The first version of the site was created with Dreamweaver exclusively and I was able to get by with Frames *shudders* and the Flash Buttons that Dreamweaver creates.

Fast forward a few years and I am now quite fluent with CSS, XHTML, and some PHP. The open source community has given some great pieces of software that I can use to host my content and this site is built mostly with Wordpress along with some hand coded pages thrown in for good measure.

Chris Johnson

I was born in Idaho, and I graduated from Concordia University Wisconsin with a degree in Multimedia Communications and Political Science. My parents live in California and I am there during breaks. I have always been working on and with computers; my dad was a computer consultant for much of my young life and he gave me the basic tools and knowledge to understand what was going on inside the beige box. I know how to troubleshoot hardware, software, and user issues when it comes to computing and have built several systems over the years.

This site is running on webservers at Bluehost and I work with the Adobe Creative Suite of applications, mostly Dreamweaver and Fireworks. While I use Windows as my primary operating system, I like Mac OS X and will probably buy a MacBook Pro to dual boot from when I can actually afford one.

I am also an amateur photographer and take pictures with a Nikon D40x. I manage the photos with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, Picasa, and I just installed Windows Live Photo Gallery and am happy with it initially.
